Excellence in Education

At Tabernacle School we are excited to offer an education that integrates a Biblical worldview into a strong academic program. Elementary students start each day with pledges, prayer, and Bible class. Middle school students have a dedicated Bible class to encourage growth in their faith as they study the Bible from beginning to end. All students have weekly chapel that includes songs, speakers, and special events.

Classes include:

  • Bible
  • English/Language Arts
  • Math
  • Phonics (JK-2nd grades)
  • Reading
  • Science
  • History
  • Physical Education

Technology Integration

Grades K-5th have grade level iPads that students use to access a variety of programs including RazKids for reading. Grades 3-8 have SMARTBoards in every classroom with SMARTNotebook software. Our digital curriculum begins in 6th grade and continues through 8th grade with the use of individual iPads. Students have access to their lessons and homework on any device with internet access at home or on the road.

Many families are choosing to participate in Tabernacle’s Distance Learning Program via Google Classrooms. In the event of a school closure due to the Corona Virus, all students will participate in this program.

Extra Curricular Activities

Due to the Corona Virus, all extra curricular activities have been cancelled. Please continue to check back for updates.

In addition to teaching all of the core subjects, each student in 1st-8th grades has PE daily. Tabernacle’s athletic department provides after school sports for boys and girls.

All elementary students participate in art, music, library (TK-2nd), RazKids Reading (1st-5th) and computers classes as weekly electives.

Students entering Kindergarten may take violin lessons with our music teacher. Beginning and advanced band starts in 4th grade and continues through graduation.

Students in 7th and 8th grades are able to choose electives based on interest.  We have an extensive list of electives including:  cooking, drawing, painting, book club, ceramics, golf, performing arts, speech, aviation, and Spanish.   Students rotate through additional electives quarterly.  Tabernacle School participates in spelling bees (1st-5th grades) and the Presidential Physical Fitness Program.
