TK-8th Grade
Art
Our Art Elective invites students on a creative journey through a variety of media and artistic styles. Young artists will explore drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture as they learn to express themselves and develop their unique artistic voices. Along the way, students will be introduced to inspiring artists from around the world and throughout history—from Michelangelo to Yayoi Kusama, from impressionism to pop art. This elective encourages imagination, builds fine motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for the many forms and traditions of visual art.
TK-8th Grade
Music & Band
Our Music Elective offers students a fun and enriching introduction to the world of music. Through singing, rhythm games, and hands-on activities, students explore a wide variety of musical genres, artists, and composers from different cultures and time periods. They learn foundational music theory, how to read music, and begin preparing for future instrumental instruction. Each grade level also participates in its own special Christmas cantata, giving students the opportunity to perform and celebrate the joy of Christmas with their families.
We also offer an optional band program for those who wish to dive deeper into music theory and instrumental performance.
1st-8th Grade
T.E.C.H. Lab
Technology. Engineering. Coding. Hardware.
Our T.E.C.H. Elective teaches students basic to advanced computer skills and how to be citizens of the ever-growing digital world all while remembering our citizenship in the family of God and Tabernacle’s mission to “Teach in ALL areas of life, the Truth, as centered in the Lord Jesus of the Bible.”
Students use a wide variety of programs to practice everything from file management, graphic design, coding and robotics, keyboarding, and much, much more.
7th & 8th Grade
Jr. High Electives
Our middle school elective program is designed to give students the freedom to explore their interests and discover new passions. Each quarter, students choose from a diverse selection of electives that change throughout the year, ensuring fresh and exciting opportunities every term. Core options always include both sport and non-sport physical education, as well as the chance to serve as a teacher’s assistant. Additional electives rotate regularly and may include creative writing, book clubs, 3D printing, coding/robotics, painting, board games, and much more. With something for everyone, our elective program encourages curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
