Entrance, Egress, & Movement Within the School

Staggered Drop off & Pick Up:

From arrival on campus to departure, students and staff will practice social distancing. Tabernacle will utilize staggered drop off and pick up schedules and assign designated areas for each grade level to reduce contact and crowding amongst students.

Arrival and Dismissal:

Upon arrival to school, all students, staff, and parents will be required to wear a face mask and observe proper social distance when possible.

School Entry for Morning Daycare: Check in will be located outside the front office from 6:30 a.m. – 7:55 a.m. Early morning daycare will be in the auditorium social distanced by classroom groups.

School Entry (Non-daycare): Kindergarten to 8th grade students will be dropped off in the parking lot for morning drop off. Visual health screenings will take place at drop off and in the classroom. Please see the drop off/pick up schedule for times.

Late Arrivals: Students arriving after 8:30 a.m. will need to enter through the student care office area. Social distancing signs have been placed at the entrance.

Preschool: Preschool parents are required to wear a mask, social distance, and sign their children into preschool at the area provided outside the preschool classroom at all drop off and pick up times.

Kindergarten: Parents wearing mask and social distancing, will be permitted to accompany their child to their classroom during the first week of school (or longer as emotionally required).

Rainy Day: The administration team will establish a rainy-day plan that minimizes crowding and maintains social distancing guidelines, where possible. Students will be super- vised during dismissal and will be required to wear a face mask.

Controlled Movement:

To promote social distancing and limit Covid-19 exposure, students will be moving in small, stable cohorts, when possible, throughout the day. Entrance, egress, and movement within the school will follow controlled movement patterns based on signage throughout the school and a map (see below) provided to each staff member and family.

Students will remain in the same classroom and will not be visiting our using other classrooms. Physical barriers, one directional walkways, and signage will be used to assist with distancing. Staggered schedules will be used to assist with campus traffic and limit exposure between classes.
