Nicole Whitworth

Second Grade Teacher

I have spent my life in the Concord area and am a graduate of Berean Christian. I have been involved in music for as long as I can remember. From orchestras, bands, private lessons in both clarinet and piano, and Contra Costa Children’s Chorus, I have always immersed myself in music.  I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BA in Liberal Studies and an emphasis in music. I immediately started teaching in a public school while taking classes at night to obtain my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, with a supplement in music. I have taught elementary school for a total of 10 years, in grades 1, 5, and 6, in addition to directing choir, teaching clarinet lessons, and leading chapel music.

I have been married to my wonderful husband Bobby for 13 years, and we have three fun-loving children, Bobby, Wyatt, and Paige.  My children and I are so happy to have joined Tabernacle this year!

Besides playing the piano and singing, I love to read, bake, and spend time with my family and friends. One of my favorite passages in the Bible is Psalm 103. The first verse of that psalm is, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”  God’s kindness continues to overwhelm me, and I love to worship Him for this reason and more through song.
