Welcome to Back to School Night!
This fun annual event took place on Thursday, October 9th, and the theme this year was “Farmers and Barnyard Animals.” Many students came to school dressed as farmers, adding to the festive farm vibe, while others showed off their creativity with a variety of barnyard animal costumes. The result was a lively and colorful day that brought our school community together in the best way.
One of the highlights of the evening was that families could visit classrooms and see all the incredible student work on display. In the elementary classrooms, parents enjoyed seeing the younger students’ projects, while the middle school classrooms featured creative and innovative work. In Mr. Prior’s classroom, for example, students showcased their bottle rocket projects, which combined science and art in exciting ways. Each classroom highlighted meaningful student work and achievements from the start of the school year, giving parents a glimpse into the fun and learning happening every day.
Another crowd favorite was the raffle baskets and silent auction. Each class created an exciting themed basket and raffle tickets were sold to anyone who wanted to try their luck at winning one of the baskets filled with fun prizes. Some of the most eye-catching baskets included Mr. Buckley’s “Tailgate Time”—complete with a BBQ grill and tailgating snacks, perfect for sports fans, Mrs. Prior’s “Disney Magic”—which had Disney lovers dreaming of adventures, and Mrs. Peacock’s “Date Night”—filled with cozy, relaxing treats.
But the fun didn’t stop there! There were also teacher only baskets where students could enter a raffle ticket for their favorite teacher. Seven lucky teachers each won a basket filled with themed goodies—snacks, gift cards, water bottles, and more!
A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Daysh, who envisioned all the beautiful décor and spent countless hours bringing her vision to life. We also want to thank our amazing TIP parents, who worked together to coordinate the night and stayed up late decorating the school to perfection. Special thanks as well to Mrs. Pisani and the the basket coordinators from each classroom for organizing the incredible raffle baskets. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!
It was a night full of laughter, creativity, and community spirit. Welcome back to a new school year, Tigers! 🐯
