Tabernacle Involved Parents (TIP) brings Tabernacle families together to support our school, strengthen our community, and create meaningful experiences for our students and families.

Every family has something valuable to contribute. Whether you have an hour to volunteer, a professional skill to share, resources that could help, an idea for our community, or an interest in leading a project, there is a place for you in TIP.

You do not have to join a committee or make a major commitment to be involved.

What is TIP?

TIP is Tabernacle School’s parent partnership community.

Working in alignment with school administration, TIP helps connect parents with opportunities to serve, lead, contribute, and build community throughout the school year.

TIP supports school events, family programs, community-building initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and new ideas brought forward by Tabernacle families.

Our Purpose

To provide the structure and support that empowers more parents to get involved, serve, and build a stronger school community.

TIP works best when many families contribute in different ways. Some parents lead events. Some volunteer occasionally. Some contribute supplies, resources, professional expertise, connections, or ideas.

There is no single way to be part of TIP.

The goal is simple: more parents empowered to participate, more opportunities for connection, and a stronger Tabernacle community.

Frequently Asked Questions

-Do I have to officially join TIP?
No. TIP is designed for all Tabernacle families. You can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows.

-Is there a required time commitment?
No. Opportunities range from short volunteer shifts to leading an entire event or program. Choose what works for your family.

-Do I have to attend TIP meetings to volunteer?
No. Meetings are one way to stay connected, but they are not required to participate in most TIP opportunities.

-Can I lead an event or program?
Yes. TIP wants more parents to feel empowered to lead. Depending on the project, a member of the TIP Coordination Team can help provide structure, resources, communication support, and coordination with the school.

-Can I suggest a new event or program?
Yes. Parent ideas are encouraged. Submit your idea to the TIP Coordination Team so we can explore feasibility, timing, resources, school alignment, and next steps.

-Does submitting an idea mean it will automatically become a TIP event?
Not necessarily. Ideas may need to be evaluated based on the school calendar, administrative approval, budget, volunteer capacity, facilities, and other considerations. TIP will help determine what is possible.

-Who decides which events TIP hosts?
TIP works collaboratively. Ideas may come from parents, existing TIP programs, the Coordination Team, or school administration. The Coordination Team helps evaluate and organize opportunities in alignment with the school.

-Are TIP Coordinators school employees?
No. TIP Coordinators are parent volunteers working in partnership with Tabernacle administration.

-Do TIP Coordinators run every event?
No. One of TIP’s goals is to empower more parents to lead. Individual events and programs may have their own parent leads and committees, with TIP Coordinators providing support and continuity.

-I can’t volunteer during the school day. Can I still help?
Absolutely. Help can include planning from home, donating supplies or resources, sharing professional expertise, helping with evening events, making community connections, or supporting specific projects.

-Can my business help?
Yes. Businesses may be able to support TIP through services, resources, expertise, sponsorships, donations, or community partnerships. Contact TIP with what you may be able to provide.

-What if I want to help but don’t know where I’m needed?
Send us your general availability, interests, or skills. The TIP Coordination Team can connect you with an opportunity when an appropriate need arises.
