If you’re new to our school and want to play an instrument—or if you already do—Tabernacle’s Band and Orchestra would love to have you!
Students at Tabernacle can start learning music as early as Kindergarten. Beginning with the violin, young musicians build a strong foundation that makes learning other instruments easier as they grow.
For beginners in 4th grade or older, the Beginning Band meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school. This group is the perfect place to get started, helping students develop their musical skills in a supportive environment.
Returning members, 5th grade or older, can join the Advanced Band, which meets every Wednesday and Friday after school. Here, students have the opportunity to play alongside other experienced musicians and continue building their skills.
For those who play the violin, Orchestra meets every Friday after school. This is a great chance to refine your technique and perform as part of a larger ensemble.
Mrs. Burmeister, our enthusiastic Band and Orchestra teacher, also gives students the exciting opportunity to perform for the public. With your new and improved musical skills, you can participate in the Music in the Parks Competition in Vallejo, playing alongside fellow Band and Orchestra members in a memorable ensemble performance.
Below is a video from the Band’s performance at Music in the Parks this past spring.
